NW PARC is partnering with Society for Northwestern Vertebrate Biology and the Oregon and Washington Chapters of the Wildlife Society for a week of workshops, field trips, and presentations all centered around this year’s theme: Regional Strategies Addressing Global Challenges for Wildlife and Habitat Conservation. Topics to be addressed include
climate change and policy, human-induced movement of species, forestry prescriptions including thinning and prescribed burning, pathogens and invasive species, shifting ranges of species, and communicating the conservation message. Additionally, NW PARC is sponsoring a field techniques course and an all-day symposium addressing priorities for reptile research and conservation. More details to come in the next few weeks, but mark your calendars now!!
